Hillbilly Tradition is a bluegrass band rooted in the rich musical heritage of West Virginia and Kentucky. Our journey began with a shared passion for traditional bluegrass music and a commitment to preserving its unique sound.
Meet the Band
Hello friends, I'm Jason Jeffers 39 yo. I have been rooted deep in bluegrass and country since an early age when I started playing bluegrass with my dad and uncles (rocky mountain boys bluegrass). Later I moved on after my dad's passing in 2012 to spend about 10 years with the Bobby Maynard & breakdown, traveling and having a great experience seeing the open road! Then comes 2023 and Hillbilly Tradition was formed and we've been steadily progressing and with all hope and prayer we will continue
I’m Brayden Maxie, 20 years old— musician, welder, and animal tech who can switch from playing guitar to fixing metal to wrangling a cow faster than most people can find their car keys. I’ve been at the strings for over five years — guitar, bass, and banjo, which means I can bring the noise, the groove, or the twang all in the same song if your lucky. I like to cut up and have a good time while still getting the job done.
Music, metal, and muddy boots — it’s a strange mix, but I make it work.

Come from a musical family background with deep Appalachian roots in. Bluegrass and country.Played with many band over 35 years from Borrowed Time , To The Dave Evans and River Bend to Tommy Webb and the guys. Now Hillbilly Tradition Bluegrass is home for the long Haul ….
